Gort Cancer Support
Gort Cancer Support was established in June 2007 to provide support and practical assistance to people affected by a cancer diagnosis. We adopt a holistic approach towards our clients and their family members by providing a range of activities and social events which will enhance our clients wellbeing and coping skills. Our cancer support centre is managed and operated by trained volunteers with the assistance of administrative staff and professional therapists. We offer a home from home environment where one will feel relaxed and welcome. Our Registered Charity Number (RCN) is 20075927.
Early detection saves lives & it starts with you. Take 5 minutes to check your breasts/chest. Know what’s normal for you.
• Look for changes in shape, size or skin texture.
• Feel for lumps, thickening or tenderness.
• Notice any nipple discharge, inversion or persistent pain.
You know your body best. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts & speak to your GP.
